Microneedling Treatment

Microneedling | Livingston NJ
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that works to rejuvenate and elevate the texture of your skin. This procedure stimulates collagen production, helps reduce scars, minimizes pore size, reduces hyperpigmentation, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, and tightens loose skin.
After applying a topical anesthetic, we gently create only surface-level deep, microscopic skin punctures in the skin’s top layer through specialized equipment. These tiny wounds prompt the skin to regenerate damaged cells and stimulate the body’s natural healing process.
Benefits of Microneedling
Here are some benefits of using microneedling:
- Stimulates collagen and elastin production: Microneedling stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin.
- Improves skin texture: Microneedling can improve skin texture by reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.
- Safe: Microneedling is generally safe, with minimal side effects.
- Non-surgical: Microneedling is a non-surgical option for skin rejuvenation, with minimal downtime.

Microneedling FAQs
A minimally invasive procedure, microneedling aims to rejuvenate and replenish the skin texture and structure. Microneedling encourages the production of collagen in the skin, reduces the appearance of facial scars, diminishes pore size, and minimizes blemishes and hyperpigmentation. Simultaneously, it fades the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles whilst tightening saggy skin.
First, we apply a topical anaesthetic on your facial skin. Next, using specialized equipment, we proceed to create surface-level and microscopic skin punctures against the top layer. Although slightly visible, these tiny punctures will stimulate the regeneration of damaged skin cells and encourage natural healing.
After microneedling, the skin looks rejuvenated, dewy, and vibrant. In days, you will notice smaller pores and visibly tighter skin. With three additional microneedling treatments, you can expect higher collagen and elastin skin production. Consecutive microneedling treatments can take up to six months.
Microneedling can help treat a variety of skin-related issues, including:
- Acne scars;
- Ageing spots;
- Sunspots;
- Early and advanced wrinkles;
- Large pores, prone to stuffing;
- Loss of skin elasticity;
- Uneven skin tone issues.
While skincare-friendly, microneedling can also be used in treating stretch marks. This treatment, however, is mainly supported by the additional use of dermal fillers.
As a non-invasive and pain-free procedure, microneedling requires little to no recovery time.
Some clients might experience initial skin redness and irritation. This usually goes away within a few days and can easily be covered with makeup.
Expect your skin to feel more sensitive after microneedling, so using sunscreen at all times is crucial.
